But wait there's more..
If you decide to remove the seats you will need to undo the seat belt fixed to the seat ....and undo the four seat frame mounting bolts(These are 11mm socket size.)
Dependng on model ...you will also encounter the Body-ECU under the LH seat; CD stacker under RH seat; various loom cables for seatbelt warning/heated seats etc.
For a full carpet removal I expect you would also have to remove the centre console assembly with lever boots etc etc ( a good time to fit that CDL lever???)
Once you have the carpet edges free.. then towels will soak up the initial water. I then used rolled up newspapers to hold the carpets up as well as wick away some more moisture. It is currently drying out.
A few pics. to clarify.
The last one shows the various fixings
A= screws and expanding fitting for seat base surround.
B=sill screws
C=christmas tree and screw-off fittings for A-pillar plastic footwell panel
D=trim removal tool..pulls evenly on those push-in christmas trees ( otherwise sneak a couple of knives from the cutlery drawer)
E=push and screw fitting from cardboard fan cover ( under passenger glovebox)
Hope this helps
Cheers
Bob
