You would have to disable to the ACE also for that to work. There isn't a lot of point anyway as the ACE will relax so it is the same as having disconnects or no swaybars when offroading in slow conditions. ACE wont limit you until what I suspect is beyond a 10" travel shock, so with a 2" lift there is no point in disconnects with ACE.

So would it be worthwhile, worth the effort, to fit front swaybar disconnects to a std non-lifted D2a with an SLS rear ?

Would it provide much more articulation on the front end ?

It will give you more travel, the front sway bar is huge and stops a lot of articulation in the front, once you remove it or put disconnects in, it will articulate as well as aN ACE equiped D2.

Thanks Baz .... that's ANOTHER modification now added to the to do list .....

Musn't let SWMBO see that list

I find it rather funny though, that after the weekend trip out with the 4WD Action magazine D4 test drive day, she's now (after seeing trobbo's highly modified D1) warmed slightly to the possibility of a snorkel (she HATES them with a vengance ... it's a "looks" thing ... but bonnet deep in a river crossing with no snorkel was a rather tenuos moment for me) ... AND maybe a lift (as long as it's not too high to climb into comfortably she says), AND rock sliders (after rocmic smashed a side step coming out of a river drive), AND a front & rear steel bar (after trobbo took on a fallen tree ... and lost!) ...

Maybe a few more trips out will convince her of a FULL work over ... but probably not

    Thanks
    Kev..
