Are you trying from the front or rear switches? If the rear, the isolation switch (in the front) may be operated. This switch prevents unwanted operation by rear seat passengers.
Check your owner's handbook for info on it.
Hello ppl, i'm a new member here hope you kind folk could help out.
Both my rear windows just decided to not work one day. They are stuck up and wont come down!!
I've checked and replaced the fuse but still nothing. No loose wires on back of switches. Anybody had similar problems? or just another "LandRover" mystery?

Cheers p38arover, I didn't mention it's from both controls front and rear. I tried shorting the isolation button but still nothing.
Bugger.
I thought I might have had a simple fix!
I shall have to look at the D2 manual.

I've just looked at the electrical circuit diagrams and I note that only the rear windows have a relay (R152) in circuit. Have you tried replacing that? It's in the passenger compartment fusebox
It is controlled by something called an IDM (circuit ref no. D176) - I'm not sure what it is. It is controlled from the ignition switch through fuse 29. Have you checked that fuse?
I'd look around that area, maybe even removing the IDM and putting an earth on pin 86 of relay R152. That should operate the relay.
Alternatively, pull the relay and put a piece of wire across pins 30 and 87 of the relay socket. That will emulate the action of the relay.
Do you have the RAVE CD with the circuit diagrams?

Cheers mate, ill give that a go.
Ill check the R152 & fuse 29. Then try shorting the relay like you said.
I think that'll help me narrow it down.
Thanks again for your help p38arover .
(This is about the millionth thing that has gone wrong with the Disco, no wonder ppl love there Rovers so much. The amount of blood, sweat, tears and not to mention money they/we pour into em to keep em going)

Fixed, was the relay 152! looked this morning and flippin thing was gone, no sight of it. Must have rattled out.
Looks obvious now but you dont expect a big relay like that to be missing.
Cheers
??
Weird. Isn't that fusebox inside the car? If so, the relay must fallen inside the car somewhere - or has it been for service recently?
I just checked the Owner's Handbook and it shows Fuse 29 as being only for ACE. A check of the wiring diagrams shows it used for ACE and the rear windows.
Glad you fixed it.
