    Is my D2 Possessed?

This has happened a few times over the last couple of weeks.
The latest last nite, I pull in the drive about 730pm headlights on and idle down turn lights off grab my crap close the door and walk inside, I double hit the remote lock to lock the car (always do this since it was broken into) and I see the flashes of the indicators as it locks and WTF the headlights turn on! as I said this has happened a few times, Does anyone know what the go is?? i have had a look at the handbook but cant find anything.
All I do when I see this happen is unlock again with the remote and lock again with the remote.

I thought I was going a little batty but last nite I had the son with me.

    TIA Dazza

    No devil there

This is a courtesy/safety feature allowing the occupant to walk up a dark driveway in light.
I think I read it somewhere in the owners manual at one stage.

Not possessed (at least with on this point)

    Regards
    Derek

I thought this was a setting on Australian models by default and requires the lock button on the Fob to be pressed for at least 3 seconds. If this is what's happening then the lights should also go off after about 40 seconds. Was very useful on my D2a.

Get someone with a diagnostic unit to check the settings in the BCU. There is an option to trigger this lights on when the remote is pressed. It does this by triggering the headlight relay. It can be turned off.

The blurb in the Owners book or Rave (cant remember which) says to hold the lock button on the plimp down for 2 secs, Voila! The headlights stay on for 30 secs. If you want them off before 30 secs just quick press the lock button again.

if were camping alone, we use it to light up the tent to find the torch!
