I love my Td5 .... but the V8s are a lot cheaper to purchase and it will take you some time to spend that savings on petrol.

Other than that, get your potential purchase checked-out by someone who knows Land Rovers. Make sure the service history is full and done by qualified Land Rover mechanics ..... check the Td5 oil pump bolt has been done, if not, get it done.

    Hope that helps

    Thank you

Thank you all, I've got someone in 'the big smoke' looking at a TD5 today. They are not an expert on LR's so I will try to find a LR specialist nearby ( bris ) to give it the once over. I have my fears as it is pretty cheap (20K) but who knows?? I've been treated well here in the forum so maybe I'll get a lucky break.

Its not THAT cheap....i flew to QLD about 2 months ago to pick up a 2003 D2a TD5 auto , with leather, 2in suspension lift, king springs, bilstien shiocks, arb bull bar, custo rear bar, 2 sets of wheels....and paid $16k. I did wait and wait and wait to find the right one...but its magic, and the price was right.
