    genuine parts

    hi guys

    i need to service my D2 and one thing i need to do is the brake pads. where do you guys go for genuine parts?

    Don't worry about genuine
    Bendix 4x4 work great and u can get them everywhere.

    im just worried about it as most of the boys say get genuine as it can stuff up the ABS causing the 3 amigos (which i have anyway)

    I use these and havn't got a problem with them.

    Doesn't log any codes with use, so no preety lights to look at

    The 3 amigoes,, bless their tiny little orange hearts,,
    lots of things can make them appear,,
    and yes, brake squeal is one of them,,,


    I fitted new front rotors and pads last year which I thought would eliminate the slight squeal I was getting at almost stopped speed,,
    only to find they made no difference,, the noise was coming from the rears

    lot of posts on here about which brake pads people fit

    The only sure way to know which ones will or wont squeal is to just fit'em, get'em hot and stand on 'em

    The other key to preventing the 3 boys is to use pad paste No paste and you'll get a squeal.

    Bendix on both mine from just after new and neither vehicle ever had the 3 amigo fault in its life.

    About a decade ago when I spanered it was an red paste.
    Came in a squeeze bottle for easy use.
    Stick a bit to the back of the pads where it contacts the caliper.
    Possibly from any of the major parts shops.

    I bought mine from british off road at 50000kms they were genuine and a good price.
