Where can I get a disco 2 v8 air filter box??

    Hi

My disco 2 v8 is on lpg and recently back fired and blew the crap out of the air filter box. Its still driving but will need replaced soon. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap one? I live in Melbourne.

    Cheers

I convert the box to the early cylinder 87RR type as they remain intact after a backfire. You need to think carefully about simple gas systems in a D2, the first thing is to reset your plug gaps to 0.6mm/0.024" with the correct heat range, then you may be safe against backfires. Best thing is gas injection but with a little care you will be OK.

Do a search for Air Filter Housing - ESR4237G.

Cost $350 new here. I bought a second hand one for $50 from the US on ebay (3 yrs ago)
