Hi
Attached is a pic of the radio CD player in my Disco 02-03 model. I would like to know if i can fit a CD stacker to it and if one out of a 99 Disco would fit.
Regards
Doug

Hi Doug. Ah, no. You can't. This unit (same as mine) is a Visteon 6500 single CD/Radio. It has no provision to connect a CD changer ... I believe earlier Land Rover dash audio systems were cassette/radio ... with provision for an underseat CD changer. Not on our units.
I have an owners manual pdf if you need one.
To solve the "changer" issue in mine at the moment, I am using a small cigarette lighter plug "FM Transmitter" which accepts SD cards, or USB sticks. It lives in the back power socket ... so it's facing the opposite side window (antennae) and I tune radio station 6 on the radio to it (87.7 ... lower frequencies get less interferance than higher frequencies) ... with about 400 songs on constant rotation ... it's wired to the aux battery so it runs 24/7. Gives me Radio/CD/MP3. The thing cost me $15 and I had an SD card. Only issue ... it came with a remote, but it won't work from drivers seat to behind the rear seat ... needs to be closer.

Cd stackers are pretty much a thing of the past.
If you want a change, get a replacement unit like a Alpine or similar with bluetooth and Ipod dock etc.
Upgrade speakers while you are at it, makes a huge difference.
All bar the cars with the Harman Kardon upgrade are pretty basic.
HK is by the way chinese also but its their better range.
Have a look at the focal range of speakers, with a good head unit you are laughing and with integrated phone kit via bluetooth the sound will be via all the speakers and has a seperate microphone.
Good luck.![]()
