It's possible to check injectors performance with the electronic diagnostic?
My best friend is waiting for a special autodiagnostic session, after a self made fisical check/replace from all sensors, boost and fuel pressure.
His Td5 has about 180kkm, and the only trouble is, that it can't follow the tdi's at maximal speed. The top speed is 140km/h.
The question is, if it's possible to detect some "correction factor" that the ECU is assuming, that is signal of a next end of the life of a Td5 injector.
Best regards
the injectors are supposed to last about a million K's every failed one that IVe seen or heard about have been electrically failed and 90% of those have had a dodgey electrical harness problem associated with it, replace the harness and it was all good again.
Any electrical related problem will show up with electronic diagnostic tools. I'd suggest that its either hitting the electronic speed limiter in which case your mate needs to slow down OR there is some other problem holding it back it could be anything from low fuel pressure from the pump to a clogged air filter.
