Rocking drivers seat
My drivers seat has suddenly developed a rocking motion of about 30-40cms and is quite annoying when braking or accelerating. I've looked underneath but can't spot anything obvious. Prior to pulling the whole thing out, has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks in advance.

This happened to my passenger one. Turns out it lose one of the little running balls in the rails. Had to pull it a apart, and I placed some ball bearing balls in the rails and it fixed it.
First of all, look if the seat is properly secured ie if all the bolts are tight.

I have the same problem, drivers seat (electric) rocks back and forth, about 10cm movement; the rocking will only stop if the seat is fully lowered.
I did unbolt the rails to have a good look underneath, I couldn't identify the cause although suspect there is excessive play between the height adjusting motor and worm gear (?)
I did find a thread on a UK website; problem was described as worn seat rails.. doesn't seem to be my problem though.
I'll be watching this thread with interest
