    removing factory rook rack

    Hi all
    Our D2 has factory fitted roof racks - just like the ones in the photo that I found on this thread: threadhttp://www.aulro.com/app/data/500/medium/IMG_4197.JPG

    We are wanting to fit a full length rack and the factory bars are in the way - anyone know how to remove those suckers?

    I think there is a grommet/plug or something that you use to fit in the holes, Im sure you have to drop the roof lining down to do the removal.

    Im sure someone has done it and will reply soon.

    I found the little plug in the rear part, pulled it out but not sure where to from there.

    What are extended rails by the way?
