Antenna Cable through Firewall - How?

    Hi All

What is the easiest place/way to run the CB radio Antenna cable through the firewall?

From under the bonnet, if you look at the drivers side, behind the battery, you will find a large grommet in the firewall.

This comes out high in the drivers footwell, and it looks like it is the easiest spot.

Just carefully poke a hole thru the grommet, put whatever you need to thru there, and then seal it up again with something like sikaflex.

Mind you, I haven't bothered sealing it up again - might want to run some more wires...

There's two spare cable nipples on the large grommet on the drivers side. Nip the end of one enough so that the cable is a tight fit and push it through. A bit of silastic will guarantee a seal though.

There is also one on the passenger side under the sound proofing, right near where the inner wheel arch meets the bulkhead. (about 2-3 inches outboard of the diesel cut off switch)

Pulling the carpet back in the passenger foot well will reveal it, its directly behind where the main loom runs across.

You can also use the Bonnet release cable grommet, located on the left hand side behind the ABS unit. Was able to poke wire through this quite easily and then pulled the UHF cable through. No extra holes required, used existing grommet.
