    Disco 2 drivers seat

I am after suggestions as to the best replacement for a more comfortable drivers seat for my series two Discovery.
There is no damage to the existing, but I find it not comfortable over long distances.
Any suggestions as to other makes of seats that could be adapted would be appreciated.
(I looked into Range rover seats (P38) but found they are almost the same construction so no improvement, but rember the first Rangies to be most comfortable but would thet fit)

I can reccommend the front buckets from a 2009 Patrol.
very comfortable over long distances. As to fit?
    Would (modern)RR seats fit?
The trouble with most aftermarket buckets is they have high side bolsters.

Beware of changing seats in cars as it can cause the vehicle to be classified as unroadworthy. It has something to do with altering the seat rails on the actual seat.
I believe the only way around this is to cut the entire piece of sheet metal/chassis of the donor vehicle that the seat rails are conected to, cut the rails out of the car that the seat is going into and weld the donor plate/rails in place on the floor of the car that the seats are going into for the seat to be attached to(a friend had to do it this way to put VN Commodore seats into a HZ ute).
It was the only way he could get the car to pass a roadworthy for registration.
Check with the RTA/Vicroads first as it may leave you uninsured.

I think your mate got suckered!

A seat mob can make new frames/mounts that are certified for a few hundred $$$$...

    Problem solved.

Im looking at how I can fit an ISRI seat from a Mercedes Benz Actros in mine..... Not having much luck mainly due to the fact that if I fit the air base unit it comes mounted on, I would be like Jeremy Clarkson driving a Mini...
    But where there's a will there's a way....

Man those things are Uber comfy!!
