    traction control

you put the cdl in so the light is on. then turn the engine off completely and then restart. to turn it on again put it out and restart.

you need to check if it was fitted to your car. on top of the transfer case, from the front side at the top the is a spigot with a 10mm bolt on the bottom. that is the cdl spigot. when you turn that it locks it up.

there are heaps of differnt versions. i have a cabel which cost about 300 bucks and took about an hour to install. aussieaub have made there own,

its not hard to make if your handy.

i have no dramas at all with making my own things... so that might be the way to go.

will have to sort out a time to come and have a yarn and a beer and discuss the rover.

Are you saying you can disable the traction control merely by starting the engine with the CDL engaged? I have a 2004 manual TD5 and I didn't think it was my experience (but you've got me worried now - maybe I'm going crazy). I thought the only way to disable was to pull out the fuse.

    cdl on d2a

    Mundy,

yours is d2a, it hard the cdl fitted as standard and operated differently.

you cant use this process to turn your traction control off.
