    Bilstein with ACE

Im looking at ordering some Bilstein's from the US, but all the sites say there shocks are only for non ACE vehicles. Is there any difference? Only after standard height.
    Thanks

there is a differance in the valving in the ace/non ace shocks, but for the life of me i cant find out how much the differance is.
from what ive read std billsteins have been fitted to D2's with ace and no one has any issues (all US sites)

the only thing i can think of it the swaybar sizes are differant, the ace has a 35mm front sway bar the non ace has 30mm. rear ace 29mm non ace 19mm.
springs are the same for td5 but differant to petrol.
so on that alone one could say the OE shocks may be stiffer for the non ace??

    cheers phil

I use the extended Bilsteins with ACE on my D2 V8 and have not had any issues.

I am looking at ordering some longer ones from the US later this year so the travel matches the 2.5" spring lift.

I have Bilsteins and king springs fitted to mine, 2 inch lift with SLS and ACE plus the SLS lift kit, have been on over a year, besides a slightly harsher ride no problems.

Fronts are (Bilstein) F4-BE5-B994-MO, Rears are F4-BE5-B995-MO
    Steering Damper is F4-BE3-A580-HO.

    Cheers
