Just back from the panel beater

I just dropped into Lombardi Bros in Perth to check on the Disco which is being repaired after hail damage. They have stripped all the bits off and have started to BOG up the dents. I was a bit shocked to see rust in the roof on the vertical side just past the jump up ahead of the rear roof widow. This sectionis usualy covered by my rack support.

I thought bit was made of alloy, can anyone tell me what is aluminium and what is steel?

I thought that the doors are steel and the rest aluminium but that may not be correct.

Sorry to hear about the rust - at least it can be treated now.

You don't mention which year disco you have, but most of them have steel doors and roof turret. The bonnet, front guards, rear guards/panels and rear door are alloy.

Quick and easy way to check for yourself is simply trying a fridge magnet.....the panels it sticks to are steel, the rest are alloy.

I'm not real sure about the early D1's.

Oops, just realized that you posted in the D2 section so yours is as described above.
