    Memory seat ECU

I think I know why the drivers side electric seat does not work.

    Battery leaking on circuit board.

Would this be the reason why my electric mirrors do not work too?

Indeed it would. This is the cause almost all the time of this.

I had one of mine reparied by a company in the UK (Car is over there) but i cant remember who it was.

Anyone who has one that still works would be wise to get the battery changed.

AU spec'd disco's as far as i know didnt have the power mirror option.
UK and JAP did. all the wiring and the power mirror ecu are in my 2003 D2a HSE though..just need the motors for the mirrors.

I had assumed this was a RRC issue.

The high spec classics have electric memory seats and mirrors, and have an ecu that controls them, in which there is a battery to store the positions.

The leaking battery seems to be a frequent issue.

There doesn't appear to be much damage apart from corrosion which I have cleaned up. I ordered 2 replacement batteries from Battery World, fingers crossed that when I solder new battery it will work. Will do the other side regardless.

well I cleaned the board up and soldered a new battery, put it all back together and no change. drivers mirror moves and all I can hear are the relays clicking. Same as before. I suspect that one of the ULN2003 chips have been damaged. It's listed in Jaycar so I'll attempt to replace both of them and see what happens.
