I had mine done at West Coast Suspension in Bassendean.
I was budget orientated and the price here was good, loving my setup so far!![]()
I currently have king springs and bilstein shocks with 2" lift.
If I were to do it all again, my last set up was better.
Lovell and Koni shocks with 2 inch lift also.
The Kings are O.k, a tad soft and a tad harsh a times if that makes sense.
The Lovells were just brilliant in most applications especially over rocks and tracks and handled corners better which made it feel more car like.
While at it, its best to change shocks and springs, after 10 years they be buggered anyhow.
My Koni were rebuildable I think but the price reflected the performance.
King and billies cost roughly $1600 installed which is what last owner did, lovell and konis cost over $2k.
Food for thought.
If you doing job yourself, you will save a bundle there.![]()

Jackerz, i just finished fitting the 2" mates rates kit from Supsension Stuff and it has transformed the vehicle.
2004 D2A V8 with ARB bar, dual batts, draws etc
It took about 3 hours to fit in the driveway.
Gone is the bouce bounce bounce we used to get going over speed bumps and pulling out the driveway. It feels alot stiffer, but boy oh boy its sooo much better.....wifes complaining about the height though lol
In the next few weeks I'll see how it goes offroad
Nils and kings very nice for touring
I just took my suspension stuff set up out for the first time. I didn't have any trouble keeping the wheels on the ground, coils were nice and active. I found the shocks to be too stiff. On the road they are the same way for my liking. They give a beautiful firm ride but as I said earlier, i really feel all of the bumps.
My kit came with the silver suspension stuff shocks. My mates came with the yellow ones which are still firm enough for me but give a much smoother ride. I am going to change over to the softer ride. I would discuss your options with Suspension Stuff and decide what type of ride you would prefer. There may be more options, i don't know.
I can't recommend Suspension stuff enough. They have been incredibly helpful and have far exceeded my expectations on service.
cheers
will give them a call in the coming weeks![]()
