    D2 Front Shock Absorber Towers

    G'Day All,

I was changing my front springs today and noticed that the schock towers are positioned in such a way that it's hard to get at the bolt head with anything other than a flat spanner. The bolt head is between the shock tyower and the fender.

It would be so much easier if thye bolt head was between the engine and the tower and so I turned the tower around on the passenger side.

My question is - will this make a difference - from what I can see, it makes no difference (other than making it easier to get at the bolt)?

    Cheers,

    Franz

I suspect the shocks & towers are fitted before the body is mounted to the chassis, making it easier and thus faster to insert the bolts from the outside during assembly .
