    Disco is back

I got my Disco back, new box and close to 5K later.

It drives beautifully, but it's slow as a wet week compared to the Fairmont.

I'm just glad I got enough change to buy a coffee on the way home.

Still deciding what to do with the thing. Off load it or chip it and keep it. Getting new engine mounts in it this week, (bit dubious on how they were broken towing a horse float) but the need doing so they will be done.

Ideally I could walk into a showroom and buy a car that will accelerate like my wifes 5.0l ford, handle like my Eunos roadster, tow like and last as long as my Isuzu county, have a regal, town car appeal of a Rangie.

For years I thought the D2 was this ultimate vehicle, and for a few years it has been. A D3 or D4 is still a bloody ugly looking car IMHO, an RRS is a nice town car, too expensive for what it is though. I'd hate to see one in the bush or long term touring.
