Thread: I removed the springs and Discovery is discharging the battery!

    I fixed mine only 2 weeks ago when I got a Nanacom. You need to turn off SLS in the SLABS.

    SLS is already set to coils in the SLABS ECU. It's the ACE relay that's clicking. It's relay R14 in the fusebox under the hood.

    Maybe you have a differnent problem. I put it down to what shortened the life of my altenator. Every morning, whilst it had enough power to start, the altenator would have to work overtime to recharge the battery.

    It seems that some of the systems are constantly powered, no obvious reason why they should be, so fitting a relay to cut power when car off may sort these issues.

    Food for thought anyway.
