D2 Disc Rotor Removal (or lack thereof)

Anyone had issues with the disc rotors not wanting to come off?

Did the LHF and it was fine but RHF is not wanting budge.

Any ideas on a way to remove it?
    Cheers, Dale

Undo screw & hit hard with a rubber malet.

Its most likely stuck because of all the crud thats wedged its way between the 2 mating surfaces

    Cheers

Thanks for that - will do.

Have hit a few times with a metal hammer but have not wanted to persuade it too much.

Good soak with INOX or CRC for a few minutes then mallet the hell out of it hitting it from behind at the top then the bottom until it comes loose.

    Cheers

Just did front and rear rotors and pads on my TD5, the hardest part was wedging the pads back a bit to get the caliper off due to the amount of wear on the rotor. I had a big ridge to get over. Other than that the rotors came off quite easily. Now the brakes are great.

Due to the scoring (big ridge) on mine I decided to replace the rotors as there is no-one within 700km to machine them.
