Have you tried disarming it when you have the other battery connected? if the battery went flat when the alarm was activated, it will still be activated when you use jumper leads with another battery.
Hope this helps.
Hi Gurus
My problem is that my car has been parked locked for weeksand the battery has gone flat.
I tried to open the car with the remote but nothing, so used the key. I then opened the bonnet and tried to jump it from my fully charged optima but when i connected it to the main one the alarm goes nuts and i cant turn it off.
I made sure all of the doors were closed and held down the bonnet switch but the alarm wont turn off.
Is there some sort of override switch?
cheers in advance

Yes tried this but the fob wouldn't de-activate the alarm
Exactlyjust dont know how i'm ment to disarm it.
Not sure if i have to recharge the main battery and then try. just seems like there should be an easy way.
Would hate to be isolated with a locked car and flat battery![]()
EASY
Just press a button on the keyfob, both will shut it up.
Has your D2 got ACE????,if so I may have the electricity thief sorted, works in mine.

Pull the horn relay in the fuse panel under the bonnet.
Once everything is normal and charged etc,ie normality resumes.
MY FIX TO THE POWER LOSS.
When you shut the D2 down listen for a clicking sound every 10 seconds or so from the underbonnet fuse/relay panel.Remove the relays 1 at a time till you find the clicking stops.
In my case it was the ACE relay clicking.
The clicking stops the D2 electronics from "going to sleep" Since I started pulling the relay when its not being used the flat battery issue has gone.
GOODLUCK

Try the fob again, you will definately need it to work to start it.Pulling the horn relay will only shut it up,makesure the keyfob hasnt gone flat too!!!!!

Try this..
Jumper leads on so you have full power.
When the alarm sounds put key into ignition and turn to "on",don't start.
Alarm should go quiet.
Key out close door and lock with fob(Will still arm with bonnet up,you'll get a chirp).
Unlock with fob and you should be right
Works on mine![]()
