Mine has just had the CDL linkage put in and has coils all round and is a treat to drive on the 620km of dirt that is the Central Arnhem Rd.

Do you have pintings on the wall of your house? Do they go mouldy in the Wet?

All vehicles have problems. However there is a Land Rover dealer in Darwin (who I have had nothing to deal with) and a forum here that you are a part of so I do not see any issue with buying what you are looking at.

extend yourself and get the 2a.

SLS is great if u get on with it.
    CDL intact

But more difficult to get a bullbar for, as they are less common, and the bars are slighty different for D2 to a D2a.

Thanks everyone for all your advice, I have chosen a nice D2a in the end. Haven't got the keys yet as going through all due dilligence but I'm pretty excited.

I went with Fluids advice on getting the latest model possible for your budget. Made sense to me.

Well done mate - I am sure you will love it. They are great on road, but once you go off road it will amaze with its ability and strength.

    Cheers

    Congrats!

Spend some time to get to know her well inside, out, under and under the hood ... be familiar with what things look like, look at them often ... after a while, you'll spot things that aren't like they should be if there's a problem.

    Td5 or V8 ... ?

TD5, 2004, 150,000. Justing waiting on NRMA check to come through before finalising.

I like the sound of a V8 as much as the next bloke but diesel is definetly the way to go up here.

Oh and Epson Green too! I think green cars perform better than most.
