    VIN Check

    Could some please check the VIN below:

    SALLTGM13YA276347

    It should be an 2000 Disco 2 V8 auto.

    Not sure if it should be SALLJGMM....

    LT - Marque/model LT = Disco
    G - Class A=Japanese, G=100inch
    M - Body style 5 door model
    1 - Engine 1= 4.0 V8 LC Cat
    3 - Transmission and steering 3= RHD Auto
    Y - Model year Y= 2000 model
    A - Assembly plant A= Solihul

    276347 = your 6 digit serial number

    Paint code (F) = a 3 digit code is stamped on the VIN plate. Refer to parts cattle dog for a list of colour codes

    Trim code (g) = a code identifying the original trim, type and colour....as above for list of details

    ...... Thankyou - a pleasant break from the capability definition and performance specification I am writing (plowing through)
