Locked mine in once by placing the key on the rear bumper and shutting the tail gate .It jamed the key in there and locked the doors at the same time.

I tried for a while then called RAC. One of there guys tried for hours then called for back up, his mate helping him tried for another hour or so and then they gave up and called a lock smith. The locksmith got in by making a key .

The d2 is very hard to break into , there is sheilding every where.

I am careful to not place my keys on the rear bumper while packing the car now.

I got a flat key cut this evening ... Mister Minit at the local shopping centre.

The dude couldn't identify your NE38 code Simon, but he sized it up and used a Suzuki Key blank! ... It's got EDMONDS on one side & SU15 on the other ... it works fine. I shall get several more made now I know it works. $8.95ea.

He was hesitant at first and kept insisting that the key wouldn't work without the fob ... until I explained the EKA to him

... and he wanted $60 for a non-genuine immobiliser fob for the daughters Corolla that I can buy genuine from the local Toyota dealer for $44 !!

My key is a Silca, Italy NE38, cut at the local Mitre 10.
Interestingly, the Silca company symbol is very similar to the Suzuki symbol.
I have the FOB (no keyblade) and an ordinary flat key on the same keyring - works a treat.
I will get a couple more cut as all these recent threads about losing keys are making me nervous.

Yeah ... as you've discovered, they cannot be easily broken into !

More blank flats!! ... and I'm going to reprogram my EKA with the Nanocom back to small single digit numbers instead of the stupid double digit numbers ... you could get RSI after entering the EKA a few times
