ABS lines with Ashcroft CV problem

I've had Ashcroft CV's fitted and this brought on the ABS sensor lights.

After investigation tonight, it turns out the CV has been rubbing on the ABS sensor line and worn through it.

Has anybody else had this, or is there a standard fix for it as the gap between the housing and the CV which the wire passes between is pretty tight.

I'm assuming this means the purchase of another hub to fix the wire.
    Cheers

I have read here previously re the notion that the sensor needs to be replaced if the lead is damaged.
I must be missing something because I can't see why you can't simply join the wires as you would any other.

    Slunnie,
My light came on when i had these put on, and the fix land rover did was readjust the sensor, because it was knocked when i put the cv in...... Is this the same problem?

i think i saw it at john craddocks you can just get the sensor for a price, maybe get a stealer to replace it, for the sake of "its done by LR it should be right".

Hope im on the right track with ya.

    Gday Geck,

Thanks for this, I think its a different one though. The wire seems to have rubbed through on the CV rather than the sensor ajustment being a problem.
    Cheers

No Simon, you can buy a sensor and wire seperately, Erich is your friend

You can buy them new as well, no need to buy the hub as well.
