could it be something simple like a faulty dash switch or wiring that gets triggered when brakeing? When you are trying to lower it again are all the doors closed with engine running?

Hi guys havin trouble with my sls I had a new set of Lovell springs fitted with my new arb winch bar and my poor old mechanic can't get it to sit level every time he sets and saves it on his snapon scan tool it will be fine for a few hours then the car chimes three times when I am braking into an intersection . I then check the hight and it will be jacked up again I try reseting the computer but it won't go down again any ideas cheers .

Thanks for the quick response I thought about the switch but the dash light doesn't come on and it's staying up .
Was it sitting ok and system fine before doing the front?
Have you lifted the front?
If so, what have you done to raise the rear?
If it has been raised and you havnt put in longer bags or spacers , this will likely be a major part of the problem.
Did your mech touch the sensor arms or were his adjustments made solely by the scan tool?
Under many braking conditions the sensors will release air from the bags (tail up from the deceleration) and when the vehicle stops it will be sensing slightly low therfore the compressor will start to bring it back back to level.
If all standard and no touching of sensor arms, I suggest you check the compressor relay. Sounds like it is not shutting off (full height inflation) and then timing out (chimes).
cheers
We just raised it back to standard ride hight it was all fine be for I had just replaced the compressor and an air bag and a sensor about two months ago thanks to a roo going under the car . My mechanic used a differen. Scan tool last nite and it seems to be sitting fine now he thinks there was a problem with his scan tool . And it turns out the chiming is a shuttle valve error and the reason there was no light from the hdc was that it has a blown bulb . Thanks to all for your help .
