    Hi Craig,
    Like you i have a Disco 2 2001 but a Td5 240000k.
I have had her for a month now. First 2 weeks i had the 3 Amigos every couple of days. All reset on ignition shut down.
Reading up a bit i noticed the earth fault issues came up a bit, so i loosened the earth cables cleaned them and re torqued them, the fault still seemed to come and go but not as much.
I also want to instal the CDL lever so while looking around under there i notice the LUCARS (plug aft of the CDL activator nipple) spade connectors are a very loose fit.
I removed them (2) cleaned them up and gave them a squeeze with plyers reconnected them and i have not had a 3 Amigoes since (10 days)
I have done 3 trips away 3000k odd and still no faults.
HaHa as luck would have it on the way home from Kanangra walls i stopped for a feed try to start the Disco and no go, while i was under her looking at the CDL i noticed the spade connector on the starter motor was loose as well (idiot didnt fix it at the time). A little press on and away the oiler went.
We have high millage rigs check all electrical connectors ??

    How easy?

How easy is the "option B fix" for someone with limited to no mechanical experience? (Me! )
Is it something I could easily do myself, or am I best getting someone who knows what they are doing to apply this fix?

My amigos are annoying the hell out of me now and I NEED to get this fixed pretty soon.

    Cheers,

If you can install and wire a set of spotties or stereo, you can do this. You will benefit from a second set of hands for 5 minutes, though this isnt necesary.

You will need some spanners, a set of Allen Keys, and Wire Cutters, crimping tool and some connectors.

    cheers

If you have the opportunity get the CDL functioning or installed, that will take your worries away, the above box does a great job, ive used it several times due to squeaky brakes which the harmonics can set off the amigo's. Having a functioning cdl and the traction control running at the same time is a great combination.
    Yours Mark
are you saying that by having this plugin module it can let you run CDL lock with traction control On? (normally disabled by cdl ?)
