Help me design the Ultimate D2A TD5 Dual Battery Tray -

    Ladies and Gents,

Ive given up trying to source a battery tray which meets my needs. That is, to install two optima or similar size batteries in the factory battery location. So, being I own an engineering business, Im going to have my own made.

But will have either a sealed box at the rear (space permitting, where you can see the winch solenoid in the pictures above) or more likely a sheet metal rear wall with mounting points for the ecu there.

There is likely to be a need to trim the spot welded earth point in this location. The trim will not remove this earth point, but will remove the existing support/mounting point of the stock plastic box that is there at the moment, and intrudes into the required space.

If anyone is interested, please let me know.

It is based on the popular Optima D34 series.
Specs available here:AGM Deep Cycle Battery, Batteries - Optima Yellow Top

The Exide Orbital Blue will also fit: http://www.exide.com.au/products/orbital.php

    Interior tray dimensions are 355mm x 260mm.
