I have had the same problem for 8 years with the same model, about the only thing the dealer couldn't/wouldn't fix (that and the minorly excessive fuel usage). If anyone could shed light on this I would be happy too!

I doubt your problem was similar to mine Lucy.. unfortunately!
Mine was pretty simple, I realised whilst refilling that with diesel it's a bit like pouring a beer, to fast and you get a foamy head, that can cut off the bowser prematurely. So with this in mind, after the cut off i trickled untill the dieso could be seen in the filler neck and presto! problem solved.

right, well somethings definately wrong with the fuel reading, having reset the odometer at a full top up I have since travelled ~120km, my gauge is down to just over half.. engine is not running rich/rough from what I can tell... Could this be a fuel sender?
