    Mobile diesel mechanic in Brisbane

    Hi All

Does anyone know of a mobile mech for Brisbane for a 2001 TD5? I had just driven out of the driveway yesterday and the motor went all rough with very little power. Turned around and parked it back in the garage and now it won't start at all. It's like its not getting any fuel i.e still cranks well.

    Any ideas/recommendations?

    Thanks

Check for oil in the injector harness. Under the battery cover look for the ECU. (Aluminium Box looking thing) Is there any oil around it or in the wiring that plugs into it?

Thanks for the replies guys. Come to think of it I don't recall hearing the pump (usually a whirring before first crank?).

I wondered about oil in the harness. Isn't that usually a gradual gremlin thing? This all happened in the space of 300m.

What's the easiest way to test if the fuel pump relay is working?

Initially probe the back of the relay for voltage at the singnal suply and delivery voltage pins If that seems to be ok remove the plug from the top of the pump, check it for voltage and if you get that wire in a 70w headlight bulb and turn the ignition on and check the voltages again.
