Lol i worked in a panel shop for 1 year and had 4 prado's come in with the front end falling off. Even the genuine bull bars cracked them

I may be wrong but i think Toyota had a massive recall on their (ETS) electronic throtle system when the put it in that model prado too.

Im not supprised mine has been a nightmare, nothing worse then turning on the stockton bridge(its large, long and steep) in heavy traffic on the way to work and planting your foot to get up to 80kph and having the throttle just decide to stop working just as you get to the bottom doing about 40kph... lots of ****ed of drivers!

Toyota couldnt find the fault and charged me several times to look at it and find nothing even though they admitted there was a fault there, there solution was to replace the loom, ecu and pedal, the pedal alone was going to be 700 so i declined. In the end I worked out my issue was dodgy plugs on the pedal AND ECU which caused the pedal to just drop out and ECU would freak out, i also worked out if i turned the ignition of for about 1 sec while driving it would effectively reset the ECU and pedal would work again, at one stage on the 20min drive to work i had to do this atleast 30-40 times..... fun times with the Toyota
