Quick FWIW, UK Syntrax (at least used to be) a different brew to Oz spec Syntrax.
UK Syntrax is (was?) a semi-synthetic, Oz spec is a full PAO/ester GL-4/5 synthetic suitable for diffs (transaxles) and gearboxes.

There is no such thing (yet) as an oil which slows or stops leaks without affecting lubrication requirements. You may try an additive from Supercheap/ Repco, but at best you will only prolong the inevitable. If you dont want to change the o-rings just buy a driptray.
The oil leak reffered to here is associated with the TC idler shaft o-rings. Unfortunately you have to remove the TC to change them but a very easy and quick job when its off.

    cheers

i was under the impression the leak was from the intermediate shaft wearing a oval shaped hole... but i dont really know.

i will give this a crack over the christmas holidays

    cheers

Sometimes it's just a case of the O rings going hard.

Seal swellers are available to oil blenders, but I don't know of any off the shelf.
I have heard of a lanolin ester based 'cleaner' called Auto RX stopping/reducing seal leaks as the ester swells some seal materials, but it's exxy, not generally available here (it's from the US) and doesn't always work. I've tried it and it didn't help any of my seal leaks.

[edit] forgot to add, if you do the O rings yourself, a stake nut is used on the shaft as there is a crush tube used to get the bearing pre-load correct. You need to do the nut up to exactly the same spot as you removed it from, otherwise you'll throw the pre-load out and get accelerated wear.

so changed front seal, pretty easy job, lucky i put in CDL into my T/C not long ago, the front flange wasnt too tight on the shaft and came off ok.
still got oil leaking out though not as much. guess the flanges do wear. looks like a new flange for me and another seal.
