my major was the big ass on the D2 i needed departure angle rock slider/rock crusher type bar have the ability to drag it along not bending or have hang up points here is mine

I like the amount that I have cut off on my rear quarters, it is a bit but it's on an angle so the bar will ideally slide over any intruding rocks. Would like to fit the originaly rear lights into the bar but I am not sure if I will actually have enough room for it... so i may be going with the way slunnie did it, (turning reverse lights into indicators and fitting some little lights under the bar for reverse lights)
Also I didnt bother fitting any recovery points on the bar as I have a rear tow bar recovery thingo, plus i only need one point when I'm pulling out deefers :wasntme:

Also had the idea about a rear swinger as my 33" tyre and steel rim is pretty bloody heavy... don't think I will be putting one on the bar just yet as the door is fine atm, but it is definitely something I will be looking into further down the track, will hopefully swing out with the door when you open it. Had some idea's this morning.... will keep you posted.

just remember if you use a swing arm on the passenger side or dual swing arms you have to move the Number plate, no biggie but something I forgot about..
It seems to me that you need to decide how serious a off- roading you are going to do looking at some of the other bars...

Those "T" slots for a high lift jack would be good incorparated in to a rear bar. TJM have them in thiers.
Purpose built my bar to protect the rear end as best as possible, not quite finished yet(:angel:, slack this has been going on for ages) I will be putting hoops around the corners on top of the bar just to protect the corners of the Q panels just a bit more.
I will be copying Disco thrasher and mod some indicators into the panels.
I'd like to see the towbar receiver in the face of the rear bar. Think that would clean up the whole look of the rear of the D2. Swing away wheel carrier that opens with the door would be great, and agree 'T' slots for the highlift.
Here's a couple of shots of my rear bar. If i could add anything it would be a swing away tyre carrier to swing with the door and also to take the weight off. Otherwise i'm happy with the setup.
