What would you want in a rear bar???

The one for the DII has a removable jerry can mount that the customer requested. He did not want to tote the extra weight while he was not needing it. The tire carrier is hinge on the bumper and opens with the door, no other unlatching is required.

When I did mine, I wanted one that looked similar to the standard bar and followed its profile, but protected the back end of the Disco from the hits when 4WDing. I didn't worry about the departure angle too much because the bar is strong and it generally drags on the towing arangement. It does need lights in it admittedly - the reverse lights had a globe change and became blinkers similar to the D2a.

are the wings of the bumper supported in any way? Also, I'd be interested in why the spare is not mounted lower on the carrier?

What price are they?

The wings are not supported externally from the bumper, but they do not flex due to the boxing of the main structure and the lower frame bars that limit flexing. The tire sits high for two main reasons, first is tire size it will accept up to a 36" tire and the second is clearance when you drop off of an obstacle the tire has less of a chance making contact with a ledge. We have lowered the height at the request of customers that were not doing such aggresive offroading before, it's not that big of a change to make.

Does anyone have thoughts on alternative locations for reverse lights, they need to be ADR approved lights as well, not spotlights.
