TD 5 Steering Hose Leak Warning

I have a Disco TD5 and had the aluminium u-bend in the hose between the steering pump and the reservoir rub through on the bottom of the engine causing all the fluid to be lost and had to replace the whole hose!

So anyone with the same vehicle and maybe even TD5 Defenders might like to check theirs for the same problem occuring and perhaps cable tie a piece of rubber hose around the u-bend before it wears a hole in it.

    Regards,
    Kevin

Yes mate this is a known issue. Like you said, a few cable ties are you TD5's best friend.
