TD5 woes update pm
well the dealer phoned me and said that Land-rover Australia had sent a report back to them and that they recommended that the main ecu slab on the baulk-head , behind the glove box, be replaced.
The mechanic still had not had time to check the connections of the original ecu and that they would keep in touch with regard to progress on the repair. (thanks so much jppc, u r a marvel)
So I await the very final result,
to fix or not to be fixed, that is the question, dear Yorick.
:( time will tell
they even said that if the part did not arrive this week that it would be fitted next week (week 4)
I live in the country and the only daily transport is the bloody school bus.
they dont seem to appreciate my position at all..........:no2:

It might be a dumb question but why are you thinking of paying $1100 for a part that did not fix the problem?
I would just ask for the original part to be refitted as it was not faulty and it is up to them to find the fault not just keep charging you for parts that weren't required.
cheers,
Terry

I would take it to consumer affairs. They cant do that.
