I stand corrected.
Then again, I should have known better, I heard it on Top Gear....
Whats with all the different models?
Thought it was just S, SE, HSE...

Stop trying to change the subject re the different models Disco Muppet, just accept that a TD5's true calling is as a slow noisy vibrating marital aid compared to the ultra silky smooth and substantially quicker V8. ...;)
I remember not that long ago any discussion regarding 'V8 v TD5' would have seen lots of different sometimes even heated comments from the TD5 brigade. I guess most of them must have blown up in the interim and their owners have now given up on trying to defend a lost cause. ...:wasntme:
cheers,
Terry
After spending time in the soapbox, I realise it's no point arguing with people on here.
After all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
However, I will be remembering this little debate....
We shall see who triumphs.
NOW
Whats with the different models?! :p
Anyway as I said, I can't drive V8s...
Well,, I have to agree with the boys here, (Terry and Pedro),, Theres "nothing" quite like being behind the wheel of a nice smooth powerful V8,,Having just sold my D2 V8, and now driving a 2.4 Puma,, its chalk and cheese,, but I must admit, I hate visiting the servo's all the time,, and I spent alot of time/money there due to my heavy foot :(, but when you get to drag off ******* that dont realise just how quick the D2 is,, :D woohoo
All this talk is making me keener to buy a V8 now. I have owned 2 TD5s in D2's but never a V8 D2. I own a V8 RRC which is a D2 block with 3.9 top and it goes alright. Test drove a 4l P38 a while ago, and loved it, is the D2 the same motor and gearbox combo?
Picked up a low kKm built P38 motor. Haven't looked back
