I'm not sure, but I think both the D1-D2 have about 80Lt tanks (including the neck), as I cant recall ever been able to put in more than about 78Lts.

My D2 has a 95 litre tank...
im getting 450- 480 on an Tank urban Sydney and 500- 540 Freeway on a 2001 D2 Thor V8 with 81k on the clock and 75L tank
I only get 120 more from our 2.5l 07 X-Trail. So quite happy.
My friends 4.0i V6 Jeep Wranlger get's 280 Urban eek!

I've driven to empty many times (carry a 10L can) to work out capacity. Twice I've gotten within meters of a servo, dropped 10L into it and driven less than 20m to fill. Both times stuffed 98L, full to the brim of the neck.
My empty light comes on at the bottom of the 1/8th line and it's empty empty at the top of the empty line. Which is a pain because the full line is 20L short of FULL. Can the sender/gauge be better calibrated at all so it reads both more accurately and linear?
On my fuel gauge the first line under Full represents 20L less than full, and every line below that represents another 10L less. This method is VERY accurate on my V8 fuel gauge, I can actually tell how much fuel I will need to fill the tank within 2 - 3 litres.
Another interesting fact I have come across concerns the use of 95 ULP in my low compression engine.
The use of 95 ULP when towing my off-road camper, DECREASES my fuel consumption by a minimum of 10%.
HOWEVER the use of 95 ULP when NOT towing has no effect on my fuel consumption.
I worked this out accurately using my scangauge, and confirmed at the bowser by filling up and calculating my fuel consumption from full.
I like the way we V8 drivers call it fuel consumption, and not fuel economy.
