The horn sounds when lockin the car with fob after and only after open n close the bonnet. Any idea why? I replaced the fob key just in case but still does the same thing.

If its only a quick toot, then sounds like the alarm sensor isnt switching properly. Does it if you leave a door open & try to lock the car. Letting you know that the car doors arent shut. if not, then I don't know!!

Straighten out the bracket on the left where the plunger is, it tends to twist back.

It's the bonnet sensor not connecting properly. If I close the bonnet gently and then press it fully closed the horn gives a short beep.....let it drop instead from a little height and it connects the sensor firmly, no horn beep.

Like the man said, probably the sensor bracket bent slightly.

Mines the same, I'll be checking the condition of that bracket, hadn't noticed before if it was bent

I checked the connection this this morning and it seems ok. The sensor bracket seems ok too.

Tried dropping the bonnet too and it still the horn beep when locking.

Could it be indicating that the battery is weak? I have been having problem starting the car in the morning since I heard the horn beep when locking. I checked the battery voltage was 12.77V after 20km drive and this morning was 12.38V (that when I was having prblem starting the car). Is it 12.38V too low to start the car in the morning?

Is the car running when you checked this voltage? If the car is running, then that voltage is a little low. It should be up around the 14V mark when running.

If the car is sitting idle when reading that voltage, then the battery will read somewhere close to just over 12V, this is due to accessories running while the car is switched off such as the clock on the dash, constant power to the radio and interior lights and other such electrical wizardry.

You don't want to be looking at the volts in starting the car anyway, it's the CCA, or cranking amps that the battery is capable of. This should be indicated on the battery somewhere.

I will say it again... Its NORMAL...

Its a beep that warns you the bonnet has been opened...

    NORMAL....

Nothing to do with the switch or batteries or the alignment of the moon in the night sky...
