Replace your pads. Use anti squeel paste you should be right.

Search on the forum I think you will find some pads a less prone to squeel than others.

Using genuine LR pads are your safest bet.
Don't get too paranoid about the amigos.
I 'm starting to think there's something wrong with my car, because they haven't visited yet.(touchwood)

No, you will not necessarily see the 3 Amigos after changing your pads.
Any pads that fit your D2 will do. They don't have to be genuine.
Just take care when removing the calipers, check your sensors and be thorough with the install. Chances are that you've stuffed something up if the Amigos appear after a simple pad change.

    Give it a go!

Haven't seen the three evil ones for about 3 months now but even today, get in, hit the key and hold my breath waiting to see them stay on
Pads & disks are on my list of things to do for sure, gotta replace an exhaust manifold first, that'll be fun

Well, it's on for Satdy. Only doing the rear (ha ha) as the front one's are OK. Rang Kensington and they use Remsa Pads as distinct from Bendix although they can also purchase Bendix. Quoted $205 including freight to Wodonga. Ie: 2 X Rotors and set of pads Remsa Pads and RDA's

Rang our serious brake place in Albury and he quoted

    $66 for Bendix Pads
    $80 each Rotor (DBA)
    So $226.00

Also got purchased brake Grease and Two retaining screws.

    All set

What I find facsinating is in every industry and micro industry there are tricks and traps for the punter.

To replace through the mechanic was another $200 labour just for the back. Another guy said he will machine the discs but has to take the wheel off to measure with Veniers. Again I fin this not to be the case and easily can reach the disc. Any I'm no expert just hoping things go well. If I stuff it up then I've only got mysefl the blame!

    Cheers

You'll be right. It's an easy job, which makes mechanics charging so much for it seem like robbery. Just take your time and think of it as a big lego kit.

Did you end up getting the parts from Kensington, or locally in Wadonga?

Here's a silly question, whats the brake grease for??,is it to lubricate the pads sliding in the housing?, also ,whats the min thickness for rear rotors, according to Haynes man,it's only about 1mm less than new,or have I read it wrong!!,again, cheers Gregg

I'm assuming the beak grease is anti-squeal paste, not sure, but if you don't have any I would definitely recommend purchasing some. Without a doubt makes a difference.

Also anti-squeal paste is only applied to the back of the pads (steel on steel contact areas). Does not go on the wearing surface of the pads, very important.

    Regards
    Andrew
