i have cracking on my b pillars i bring it done to running 35's and a **** load of flex (for a D2)and the many extreme creek runs with heavy body and chassis twist for a car which has not done the above i would check for any accident damage
Ok. I' taking delivery of a D2a in a week or so. Just informed that there is cracking where the B pillars meet the roof. I'm told this is common where roof racks have been fitted. Any opinions here?
I'm still going to buy the car as frankly, by all accounts I'm getting it cheap and the cost pf repairs (incl windscreen for RWC) is about $1100. The car requires virtually nothing else but this problem to be welded up and the obvious paintwork.
What do you all think?

Not only B pillars, but check carefully around the top of A pillars where the trim meets, they can crack there aswell. The other item to check is front bump stops, and front body mounts. There are also a few with problems around the rad support top 'apron' where the ID plate and stickers etc are just in front where you open the bonnet. Check carefully the spot welds next to the black plastic clip on 'trims' either side of that front panel, I have seen 2 that have had hard off road and corrugations etc crack the whole front headlamp and rad support panel in 3 or 4 places.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Today I crawled under my 1999 DII V8 auto and found a crack in the chassis mount which supports the transfer case. The mount is the one closest to the front output flange on the transfer case.

This car has heaps of K's (248k, hence the 8k price tag) but most have been done on long trips with a lot of gravel/dirt roads (belonged to a surveyor). This said, the car has a full service record and according to our mutual mechanic, this guy stays 'on top' of his Disco'2s.... has 4 of them and now a D4![]()

I found several vehicles with cracks when I was looking. The body mount drivers side at the firewall also has been known to crack or just disappear
This also goes with the radiator support panel cracking

Wardy
Check elsewhere on the forum but I think you'll find the front screen will need to be genuine which means a few extra clams.
Pretty sure non genuine screens don't have the same curvature and tend to leak as a result.
I might be off the beaten track here but I have experienced this. If you do go the non genuine option just make sure you get a warranty (which is offered anyway) and then hold on to the receipt.
I have found parking down hill during rain, water enters just above the revision mirror.
