    New Key Fob

I need a new fob as mine has broken, it still locks and unlocks the car, but I really want to get a new one.

I know I can get the fob, but will Nanocom re-program the fob, mine is a 2001 D2.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

    How bad is it Baz?
If it's just the buttons that have deteriorated then surely one of these repairs from Polmex would do the job and only set you back about $36

Baz, the nanocom will reprograme the key(there is a thread on here somewhere).
Make sure you get the right Mhz one as they changed around your year I think(search in electrical).
    Cheers, Kyle

    New Fob

    Baz

No probs programming with Nanocom. The frequency is critical as the other chaps have said.

I personally think the Polmex looks like..........average, and is overpriced. New keys range from $87 - $150.

I have also recently bought two second hand keys (in good condition) from ebay for $20 just for the case but also came with the electric boards.

    Regards

    Be careful

Be very careful buying second hand fobs .I have tried 2 recently and sent both back wrong frequency even with correct vin number. Ii gave up and repired my original fob with new switch and the replacement rubber buttons shown below.

I only bought them for the case.

I would never buy them for anything else.

Thanks Roger, that is perfect, mine only has the damaged buttons.

Thanks to all for your advice, I'm not real worried about the looks of the fob, as long as it works.

    Baz,
You can get new replacement cases from ebay, for about $20 or less landed.
Just replace the board inside the key, and your key blade.
You don't even need to reprogramme.

Nanocom will reprogramme - jmkoffice did a good how to on here a while back.

If you can't find a fob, or get stuck, send me a Pm.
