    D2 Vacuum Pump Oil Leak?

    G'Day All,

I have been noticing some oil on what appears to be the bottom of the vacuum pump (located beneath the alternator). Whilst it is slow eneough not to cause any puddles under the vehicle, I would like to find out where it comes from and if there is a known fix.

It appears to be oil rather than fuel from the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

    Franz

Franz, check the oil supply line for leaks, part number YKL100120. It feeds oil to the vac pump and is quite common to leak at the swage joins.
I have fitted quite a few over the years.

The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    Thanks JC.

I assume that this pipe is accessed from below as I can't see how I could get to it from the top?

    Cheers,

Looks like I had an oil leak from the banjo fitting under the vacuum pump (oil feed ). When I removed the fitting, only found one copper washer. Land Rover spares Guy sold me two($2.35 for both). Im beginning to think my Disco was a Friday build.
I was able to access it from the top, after removing the intercooler pipe. Took about half hour, but I was in no hurry.
