Getting rid of those back bumper blues..
I would be fair to say I have removed and reshaped my D2 rear bumper as much as anyone. It has taken a fearful pounding in the last year in particular with my ever more adventurous excursions, mostly due to Mike's (Hibees) ability to lead me astray too many times to count.
Anyhoo, While the original landrover design is remarkably flexible and bounces back with astounding resiliancy, it can only take so much so action had to be taken.
A couple of the guys in WA have already utilized Ian (Justfishing) to fabricate rear bars so I ordered one aswell.
Absolutely chuffed with the results. It is 1-2 inches shallower than the original, perfectly trim with the body lines, strong, but not a lot heavier.

Not the best photos, but I was keen to test fit when i got home.
Thanks Ian, excellent job, excellent price, (half a rovercraft steel bumper), and it looks great.
Now to paint and fit properly.
cheers
Nick
