Thumbs up Get my D2a this week....hopefully!

Having now been paid out for my drowned D2 Td5 auto, I can't wait to get my hands on the replacement, a D2aTd5 auto
The deal I've got on this car just keeps getting better and better. I think I posted that it has a 50mm lift, Koni's alround, extended brake lines, Polyairs, ARB bar and Warn 9o00lb winch (just serviced and solenoids replaced), cargo barrier, dual batteries, 2 sets of rhino roof bars and a pod..... guess what I found out yesterday?

It also has an aftermarket tank plus a corner tank giving me 140 litres!!!

Keep in mind that I have shelled out the mighty sum of $8,000 for the car in 'as is' condition. I've had to pay out to get some roadworthy items attended to (including a new steering wheel... they kind of delaminate) and will soon be getting the lockers (extracted from the old car) fitted.

All up I think it will cost me about $11,500 (which includes the labour to get the lockers out and reinstalled). The only extra will be the LED spotties with a combined spread/pencil beam giving out 4200 lumens of pure white light each and we're back on the road again for Xmas.

What a steal, I should be locked up

    Can't wait!

Is that $8,000 plus the payout from the D2 or $8,000 all up?

Sounds good mate. Looking forward to the pics. You will have to come back to Coffs again with this one.

240k, serviced by my mechanic for the last 4 years, it's been done every 10k without fail, auto reco'd only 50 km ago (yes, thats 50km!). Almost all long trips (was owned by a surveyor) with hardly any real off road stuff. Winch was there to get out of mud that's all.

I shuld add here that it is a little rough on the exterior, few scuffs etcand filthy on the insode but it really has cleaned up pretty well. Nothing that a good detail won't fix (well the interior anyway).

And yes, we'd love to get back up to Coffs soon. Probably in late Feb. That was one of the highlights of my 4wding life. We still talk about it at least every week
