Problem with 2nd Row drinks holder in arm rest

So, the drinks holder in the arm rest of the second row seats will not latch back into place. Evidently, the 2 residents of the back seat (aka - kids) had absolutely nothing to do with it...

Without being able to latch the drinks holder back into place, it makes it difficult to raise the centre arm rest when the additional seat is required.

I have tried to pull the entire holder out of the arm rest, but only achieved a crack in the plastic surround. Does anyone know how the entire holder assembly is removed? Rave isn't being too helpful, as far as I can see.

Also, has anyone else had this problem, and what was the fix?

    Cheers all.

Any chance that you could put him in a post pack, and send him to me to get mine out? I just need to see what is going on, and why it wont clip back.

I will give him a sandwich and a drink of water before i send him back again.

    Try this

I had an instrument screwdriver in mine. From memory, I just pulled the holder itself out - not the whole unit. Removed the screwdriver and put the holder back in.

Is there any play inwards at all?
if not they may have glued it--

The holder will retract all the way in, apart from about the last 2 - 3 mm. It wont catch at this point, and then just pops out again.

So it has full movement back & forwards, which is making me think there is something jammed at the back of it stopping that last little bit.
