Where does your temp gauge get its reading???? 99.8 was the highest I got on the Nanocom, didnt even trip the 100deg red light on Nanocom the whole time.

Thought you said it flashed to 106????
Gauge didn't move off STD though.
I have heard a rumor somewhere that it is possible to remove the stagnant area of the temp gauge and allow it to read actual temp movements.......
May have been something to do with the new Nanocom Evolution I think....

It did, momentarily, but the light didnt flash,I believe when the Nanocom flashes like that its a "false" tends to do it more often on mine than I saw on yours, mine records a temp signal fault in the ECU.
Those gauges on your dash, are boost and EGT only are they???,for some reason I thought they were both dual gauges.

Yep boost and EGT. I want to try an get a pod or make one as I can't find one I like, to take 4 gauges with the other two being oil pressure and water temp.
My gauges are Prosport stepper motor units, got them off fleabay.
Really good gauge and all pretty and flashy when you turn on the ignition!!
Best thing is that all the power for them can be daisy chained together so you only need one main battery and accessory tap to run all of them. It's then just a matter of getting a wire to send the input to each gauge.

    red oat nulon coolant

got a 2000 d2 v8 4.0 always used a very small amount of coolant over a long time . on a 9hr run to vic it became a problem . stopped for a rest at about 6 hrs into trip and it was pushing coolant out overfolw pipe of resevoir. engine did not seem to be any hotter than usual when i poped the bonnet . temp gauge had not moved . let it cool .toped it up . drove to vic and home again only used a cup or to on the trip home . determied to find that slow leak i flushed the engine with water . drove a week on water . flushed again . put in red nulon oat and my leaks became very obvious . small one around throttle body plate . top plastic crimp on fitting on those ****ty brittle hoses . fixed em up no probs there . but a few weeks later found landy blood on the floor again.fxxxxxx . not sure if had been leaking there prior to the new red oat or not . but the head gasket is weeping externally . been keeping an eye on it now for 2 years . i have a engine watchdog on it an monitor it all the time . leaving the oat in there now but my advice is if you have no leaks . run whatever coolant was in the car when you got it . if you know what it had in it . do your changes regularily . dont use radiator flushes to loosen build up in your system . if your cooling system is not doing its job then its gunna cost you . once you start trying to clean your system you will probably bite the bullet n go new radiator new water pump new thermastat new head gaskets and hopefully regain confidence in your cars cooling system again . i was quoted 1850.oo to replace gaskets . keeping my fingers crossed for now . hoping the block does not corrode around weeping gasket . cheers mat
