Mines wired directly to the battery with an in-line fuse.
Best source of power!!
Like Tombie said, I'd go live power ... you don't want to have the key in the ignition to use the UHF !

I prefer accessory power, I like knowing everything is off when I lock the car. Think about it, 80% of the time you use your UHF whilst driving would it kill you to turn the key to accessory to use it for the rest of the time?

Depends on the radio mine can drag 20amps on full power and is straight to the battery
I use one of the GME 3000 units (super small, size of a pack of smokes) I took power from the light circuit in front of the sunroof.
Have mounted it passengers side (so my son plays with it) above the sun visor.
The radio is a beautiful snug fit up there, when the mike is up there you dont even see it.
It is that well hidden it cant be seen from outside the Disco.
